The Great Plains Puppet Train is returning to West Liberty, Iowa, September 13-18, 2018. While this is the Midwest region’s festival, it’s not too far off for at least some of our southeast region members, and looks like it will be a lot of fun, set in a very small, historic, midwestern town. I attended the 2015 midwest regional festival in St. Louis (Great Regional Puppet Festival) and in my opinion it really lived up to its name (my report about the 2015 festival can give you an idea of what it was like.)
The call for performances and workshops is open now until March 1st. See the festival website for full details.
Lion King Broadway is playing at the Atlanta Fox Theatre January 10 through 28, 2018.
Tickets from $39 to $169 (plus applicable fees)
Also playing in the southeast in Jacksonville, FL (Jan 31 – Feb 11), Orlando, FL (Feb 14 – Mar 11), Birmingham, AL (Mar 14 – Apr 1).
See the Lion King Tour website for more details.
